10th Graders' Profiles
Anny Huang
Hey! I'm Anny, and I'm a sophomore at Pacific Ridge School. I'm an avid reader and I love to learn about all kinds of different cultures. My love for language and culture exchange brought me to Lingo Online, and I have always felt passionate about teaching and learning. When I'm teaching and I feel that my student has finally understood a difficult concept, it's such a rewarding and amazing feeling. I want to contribute to the group by helping the newer members on teaching techniques and being a model member of Lingo Online that others can look up to. Thanks for checking out our website!

Emily St. Marie
Annyeong haseyo! I am a sophomore at PRS and I am 16 years old. I love reading, writing, art-and teaching English of course! I joined Lingo Online because I have a fascination with learning about other cultures, and being able to directly communicate with people around the world is such a great experience. Teaching English to foreign speakers, be it in China, Peru, or Korea, has become one of my favorite hobbies, and Lingo Online has opened so many doors for me, and it has even inspired me to begin my own project involving teaching English to non-native speakers. I hope to further the group with this project by reaching out to those not involved with our Service Learning, and give everyone the means to become great teachers too.

Emily Chong
Hello! My name is Emily Chong and I'm a tenth grader at Pacific Ridge School. I'm fifteen years old, and I am the oldest of four children. I love running and I've been participated in cross country for five years. I love learning different languages and this year I am taking two language classes: Mandarin and Spanish.
I joined Lingo Online this year in hopes to create a relationship with a foreign student through teaching them English. I find it to be an invaluable experience in that I am able to teach and learn from someone across the world. From Lingo Online I've learned the important aspects of teaching, which helped me to better myself as a student. It is completely different to see education through the eyes of the teacher! In the near future I hope to visit Korea and Lingo Online has served as an excellent opportunity to connect with someone from Korea and learn about Korean culture. |
Sage Sanders
I am 16 years old and interested in learning about other cultures. I play musical instruments, sing, surf...
I joined to learn more about other cultures and to connect with different people. I like the feeling of knowing that my words are important and I am actually helping someone. I would like to create music videos for the website that could teach lessons with music. |
